SureSmile Clear Aligners

SureSmile® Clear Aligners are an orthodontic treatment that works to gradually straighten your teeth with custom-fit, removable clear aligners.

Your doctor will digitally scan your teeth, then partner with the SureSmile® Digital Lab to create an individualized treatment plan that enables your aligners to move your teeth from your first aligner to your last.

It all starts with a digital scan. We take photos and a digital scan. No messy impressions are needed.

Your doctor may be able to show you a customized 3D visualization of your potential clear aligner treatment outcome by utilizing the SureSmile™ Simulator6 within minutes of taking a digital scan of your teeth. See your potential smile transformation and discuss your esthetic and oral health goals with your doctor all during one appointment so you can confidently say yes to treatment.

Your doctor and the SureSmile® Digital Lab experts work together to develop a customized treatment plan just for you. On average, plan for about 2-4 weeks from your initial appointment to receive your aligners.

Return to your doctor to receive your new patient welcome kit, SureSmile® Clear Aligners, and SureSmile® VPro™ High Frequency Device. Expect to wear your aligners for two weeks or as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will tell you how frequently to change your aligners and how many hours per day to wear them. Use the SureSmile® VPro™ with SureSmile Clear Aligners for 5 minutes daily during treatment. The device delivers gentle vibrations that may reduce discomfort and may shorten your treatment time.

You'll visit your doctor for ongoing check-ins and support to ensure treatment stays on track.

Once treatment is complete, you'll receive a SureSmile™ Whitening Kit so your new smile shines brighter. Make sure to use the SureSmile® Retainer as directed by your doctor to ensure your new smile lasts after treatment has ended.

ADULT ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

It's never too late to achieve your perfect smile, and now more than ever, adults are seeking orthodontic treatment. In fact, approximately 25% of orthodontic patients are adults.

Adult orthodontic treatment differs from child and adolescent treatment in a few ways. Since the bone development in adults is complete, orthodontic appliances cannot change jaw structure as they can in patients whose bones are still growing. If you are an adult with severe jaw misalignment, you might be a good candidate for surgery.

Periodontal disease is also important to address before orthodontic treatment. Braces and aligners rely on applying gentle pressure to teeth so that they can move through their surrounding bone. If the tissue and bones aren't healthy, the excess pressure can result in bone loss and weakened teeth. Periodontal disease can be prevented with regular cleanings and good oral hygiene habits.

Clear Aligners

Unlike all other options, clear aligners are removable. They are made as a series of clear plastic trays that fit over your teeth exactly. Each aligner makes an incremental change to your smile, and you move through the series of aligners until you've reached your perfect smile.

Predictable results. Your customized treatment plan is developed by real dental experts at the SureSmile® Digital Lab who partner with your doctor to understand your unique smile and desired outcomes to make sure you get the results you want in the time you expect.

Support to stay on track. Your doctor may provide you with the SureSmile® VPro™ High-Frequency Vibration Device to be used only 5 minutes a day with clear aligners. It may improve the comfort of treatment and will help your aligners fit just right. Your doctor will monitor your progress throughout your journey to ensure treatment is going as planned.

Lasting results. SureSmile® Retainers and SureSmile™ Whitening Kit help maintain your new smile after treatment has ended.

Once you are done with your aligners, it's crucial to wear your retainer. The retainer holds teeth in place, which in turn, supports new bone development around the newly positioned teeth. If the bone isn't supported, teeth can revert to their old positions.
